Certified Women-Owned Business

Orbital Installation Technologies is a certified Women-Owned Business. Verified, on file, and ready to support your procurement goals.

We hold three nationally recognized certifications: WBE (Women’s Business Enterprise), WOSB (Women-Owned Small Business), and WBENC. For procurement teams with supplier diversity mandates, set-aside requirements, or diversity spend targets, that means one less verification step and one more qualified, proven deployment partner already in your corner.

What These Certifications Mean

Women-owned business certifications aren’t self-reported. Each of these designations requires independent verification that a business is at least 51% owned, controlled, and managed by women, with women in day-to-day operational leadership.

WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council) is the governing body behind WBE certification and the gold standard for third-party women-owned business verification. The process includes extensive documentation review, site visits, and interviews. WBENC certification is accepted by hundreds of major U.S. corporations and federal, state, and local government entities, and WBENC is also an approved third-party certifier for SBA federal programs.

WBE (Women’s Business Enterprise) is issued through WBENC’s regional partner network. It is the most widely recognized women-owned designation among Fortune 500 supplier diversity programs and carries credibility across corporate, state, and local government procurement.

WOSB (Women-Owned Small Business) is a federal certification administered through the U.S. Small Business Administration. It makes Orbital eligible to compete for government contracts set aside for women-owned small businesses in industries where they are underrepresented, including fleet technology and mobile installation services. WOSB certification also supports the federal government’s 5% women-owned small business contracting goal.

Certifications aren’t a one-time achievement. Orbital maintains active standing through annual and triennial recertification, including updated financial documentation and mandatory on-site reviews, so you can count on our status being current when you need it.

Certified at Scale

Holding WBE and WOSB certification while operating at a national scale sets Orbital apart. With 1M+ installations completed, 80+ regional hubs, and the infrastructure to manage simultaneous multi-state deployments, Orbital gives procurement teams a certified diverse supplier with genuine enterprise capacity.

That combination is rare. For agencies and enterprises that need a diverse supplier who can actually handle the volume, complexity, and geographic scope of a large-scale fleet technology deployment, Orbital delivers both without compromise.

What This Means for Your Procurement Team

If you manage supplier diversity requirements, you already know the friction: vendor verification takes time, documentation has to be chased down, and the compliance burden falls on your team.

Working with Orbital removes a step from that process. Our certifications are third-party verified and actively maintained, so when you need documentation to satisfy diversity spend reporting, set-aside mandates, or supplier diversity program requirements, it’s already done.

For government agencies and municipal fleets, WOSB certification means Orbital qualifies for federal set-aside contracts in eligible NAICS categories, allowing you to award to a certified diverse supplier without compromising on capability or coverage. Orbital also supports procurement requirements under the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), making us a fit for transit agencies and transportation-adjacent programs with diverse supplier participation requirements.

For enterprise procurement teams, our WBE and WBENC status satisfies the diverse supplier requirements that many corporate programs require before a vendor can be engaged, and supports diversity spend reporting across Fortune 500 supplier diversity programs.

For teams pursuing bids and contracts with diversity requirements, Orbital can serve as a pull-through partner, helping your proposal meet women-owned participation thresholds and strengthening your competitive position on contracts where diverse subcontractor or vendor relationships are evaluated. For some customers, that relationship has been the deciding factor in winning work that would not have been attainable otherwise.

Supporting Prime Contractors

Orbital is built for the subcontractor role on complex, large-scale projects. As a specialty installation company with the skills, certifications, and infrastructure to operate nationally, we give prime contractors a reliable, diversity-certified partner who can execute on scope without adding management overhead.

Whether you need a qualified WBE/WOSB subcontractor to satisfy diversity participation requirements or a deployment partner who can handle multi-site rollouts across multiple states, Orbital brings the technical capability and project management discipline to get it done on time and on budget. We integrate with your program, your timeline, and your reporting requirements, so your project stays on track and your diversity commitments stay on record.

Certified Women-Owned. Proven at Scale

Certification matters. But what keeps deployment customers and partners coming back is the work itself: 1M+ installations, nationwide surge-ready coverage, W2 technicians, and an in-house project management platform that gives you real-time visibility from work order to completed install.

Women-owned leadership isn’t a background detail at Orbital. It drives how projects are managed, how communication flows, and how installations get done: on time, on budget, and without the handoff gaps that create headaches for your team.

Orbital holds active standing through annual and triennial recertification, including updated financial documentation and mandatory on-site reviews. The certifications on file today reflect the same rigorous verification process as the day they were first issued. That is what separates a credential from a commitment.

Nationwide in scope. Women-owned at our core.
